Version 2026-11-draft-1 Terms of Use
The terms on which faculty and administrators use the Registry.
Updated 2 November 2026
Draft awaiting the University's approval. The Registrar and the Data Protection Officer need to approve this wording, including anything marked to be confirmed.
Who may use it
The Registry is for faculty, staff and authorised administrators of the University and its constituent institutions. Access may be withdrawn when service ends.
Your account
- Sign in only as yourself. Do not share your access or act under another person's name.
- Tell the Data Protection Officer at once if you believe someone else has used your access.
What you enter
- Enter only what is true and that you can evidence. Entries may go into filings to statutory bodies.
- An entry stays unverified until an administrator has checked it. Only verified entries are relied on for board filings.
- Entries are never overwritten. A correction is added and the original remains in the history.
- A false declaration may be dealt with under the University's service rules and the rules of the body concerned.
What you may not do
- Attempt to see records you have no right to see, or get around the access rules.
- Upload patient-identifiable data, or material you have no right to share.
- Copy other people's data out of the Registry for any purpose other than University work.
Reports and filings
CVs and reports are produced from the data held. The person signing or submitting one is responsible for checking it against the board's current form. The Registry does not submit anything to a board by itself.
Availability
The service is provided as it stands. The University may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kolar, Karnataka, have jurisdiction.
